Please join us on April 21st when Kamana  Khadka presents  "Microaggressions: More Than Just Another Race Talk". This half-day, interactive workshop not only characterizes situations where microaggressions may occur, but also the impact of such experiences on both parties.

What is microaggressions? Although an everyday reality for many of us, microagressions, the everyday slights, insults, invalidations, and indignities upon us by well-intentioned family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, employers, health care professionals, and educators remains an unfamiliar term to the majority. Most of us, people of color, LGBT persons, people with disabilities, religious minorities and so on, who are at the receiving end know what it feels like.

  • What is mircroagressions?
  • Provide tools to appropriately deal when facing microaggressions
  • Help participants recognize their own biases
  • Explore how to reduce the likelihood of being a deliverer of microaggressions
