Workshop Summary

Seventeen days into the new year and you are already feeling overwhelmed with what lies before you in 2013. New goals to achieve, staying ahead of compliance and regulation issues, and assimilating wildly diverse employees toward a common purpose are all a priority. But with already overloaded schedules and the ever-changing dynamics of your organization, the question simply becomes HOW? Jones Loflin, professional speaker and author, says it starts by being more intentional in every choice you make.

In this powerfully pragmatic training, expect to gain actionable strategies on “growing” better results for yourself and your organization. Building on a powerful analogy of producing award-winning apples, you will quickly learn that achieving the outcomes you want for yourself and those around you doesn’t happen naturally, but by engaging in four key types of activities each and every day!

Key Competencies To Be Developed

  • Build a work environment where every employee is more fully engaged toward the goals of their department, work group and/or organization.
  • Apply the “Four Requirements For Growth” principle to areas in need of improvement.
  • Improve collaboration between those with different perspectives, ideas and backgrounds toward shared goals.

Grafting (Change)

  • Evaluate opportunities for change using three simple questions.
  • Lead others to change attitudes or actions that are limiting their success and the ability of their team to achieve better results.
  • Learn how to “nurture” new ideas into reality with existing resources or support systems.

  • Identify systems, processes, attitudes, behaviors and/or issues draining resources from more critical areas of focus.
  • Develop a plan to manage, minimize or remove these “resource drainers” from your work flow and the work environment of others.

  • Evaluate ways to move work teams toward better results through more frequent use of positive reinforcement.
  • Understand the need for leaders and managers to identify and celebrate small milestones as part of larger projects or initiatives.
  • Use the power of a “sensible vision” to sustain the motivation of teams toward better results.
